Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear Review by PING! Magazine

Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear Review by PING Magazine

Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear: Design

The design of these on-ear headphones is as rugged as the original Momentums but refreshingly smooth with style and colour. At the moment it is available in seven colours – pink, green, ivory, blue, black, brown and red. The headband is designed with dual strips for pressure distribution over the head and the strips are covered with a soft material just like the ear pads. It demonstrates an elegant design for both fit and comfort. We noticed the right materials such as stainless steel were used for flexibility and portability.

Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear: Performance/Audio quality

The sound quality of the on-ear is outstanding; especially when compared to some overly hyped headphones on the market. The speakers are built with a closed-back design but deliver an equalised sound of bass and treble. Truly Sennheiser paid attention to sound details by fitting the on-ear with high-end transducers that are layered on the foundation of a powerful bass. The sound of music from this device is pleasing to the ears with a high quality sub-bass.

Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear: Help/Support:

A 5 year warranty is really a great deal for £159 headphones. The support you get with the on-ear is faultless at the moment.

Sennheiser On-Ear Review: Overview

Sennheiser has truly redefined the sound and style of headphones which is evident in their Momentum range. When we received the Momentum On-Ears for review we hoped it would live up to its big brother. The first thing you notice about the on-ear model is that it was designed as a stylish and fashionable headphone. It really produces sensational sound but is smaller, lighter and cheaper than the initial model. Despite this it is still a premium headphone with comfy, high-quality synthetic suede earpads rather than leather. The on-ear design is suitable for maximum ear support but generates poor noise cancellation. During our test, it created a new, fun listening experience that is supported with a great collection of headphones. One factor that stands out is the on-ear was designed with women in mind evident in the range of colours, custom fit and materials. It comes with functional accessories and a good support system. So, if you’re looking for premium performing headphone without a huge price tag Momentum On-Ear will deliver at just £159 a pair at the time of review.
