LinkedIn becomes a College Matchmaker


Are just about to start university or have finish university but can’t find a job don’t worry LinkedIn has a solution to your problems.


LinkedIn has created a University Pages to give student, schools and alumni the opportunity to network. This is one of the ways LinkedIn intends to help students from campus to fulfilling, successful careers. The company reduced the minimum age for its members to 13. It vary form one country to another like its 14 in the US, 16 in Holland and 18 in China. The university page will help student to reach potential employers. The new feature will allow University/College set up profile pages about their establishment.


The pages will have regular updates relating to the campus news and activities. It will allow you to ask questions engage with both the campus community and alumni of schools.


Students who are interested in schools in Paris, Spain, New York but live in U.K or Germany to be able to see what the schools will look like.

You will also be able to see where the graduates live and work, what jobs they do.  The skills they have acquired along the way and what is possible for you to achieve. The previous graduates can link up with former classmates and students can strengthen relationships with current and future classmates.

LinkedIn on September 12thwill be making there site available to high school students. This make it possible for students to explore schools worldwide, significantly expand their understanding of the careers. LinkedIn pages will give them a head start on building a network of family and friends to help guide them at every milestone.


 200 Universities have already embraced the idea and have updated their pages. The universities are INSEAD,New York UniversityUniversity of California San DiegoFundação Getúlio Vargas,University of MichiganVillanovaRochester Institute of TechnologyUniversity of Illinois, and many more.
