1. Tesco to compete in the Tablet market.


Tesco one of UK’s biggest supermarkets has decide to release its own tablet to rival Apple and Amazon. The tablet computer is expected to hit shelf this Christmas. It will comes pre loaded with books, films and music as well as apps for Tesco online grocery and banking service according to the Sunday Times.

2. Beats by Dr. Dre


Beats Electronics is looking to move on from HTC by buying out the 25% stakes from the company and look for new investors. The company has already broaden its business from headphone to include speakers, audio system in cars and soon to be launching a music service. We guess this is coming at a time HTC is doing badly in the mobile industry.

3. Samsung battle in Brazil


Samsung has been sued by the Brazilian Ministry of Labour over the violation of the labour law in Brazil.  The Prosecutor has cited the unfavourable working conditions imposed on Samsung’s 6,000 employees at a manufacturing facility in Brazil. The employees have claim to have worked long and tiring shifts without sufficient breaks. If found guilty, the South Korean firm will have to pay $250mi ($107mi) in damages to its employees.

4. Sony Honami Mini is designed as a scale down version of Sony Xperia Z smart phones and its set to be revealed on September the 4th. However the specs has pop up on Esato Forum by randomuser. The specs are 4.3-inch 720p display, 2.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD slot, 20.7MP camera and 2400mAh battery.

5. Google glasses has been granted a patent on advertising. The patent and trademark office in the US has issued a patent to Google for an eye tracker that would be used for “pap per gaze” system.  The headset sensors tracks eye movement  and when a user looks at an advert, the advertiser is charged.
