1.  Zuckerberg Internet.org – bring Internet to the whole world


Mark Zukerberg owner of Facebook has teamed up with Samsung, Qualcomm, Ericsson, Nokia, Opera and MediaTek to create Internet.org. The project is aiming to connect “ Every one. Everywhere”.

SmartThings has launches an online marketplace to allow users to buy various devices (Lights, door lock), solution sets and starter kit to help manage different parts if the home.  The company was created to prove a platform for managing the growing number of devices that are connected to the Internet.

According to Powermat Technologies CEO Ran Poliakine General Motors the largest automaker in the U.S. will by next year introduce wireless charging for your smartphones in some of its vehicle

4. Linked hoping to recruit career-minded youngsters from 13 years old


LinkedIn has decided to lower the registration age to 13 years old.  The reason is that they want to attract young career-mind people. Furthermore they have say it will also help youngsters to look at the University all over the world and see what careers are available fro them to peruse.

5. Ubuntu Edge failed to get enough funding


Ubuntu Edge, the world’s 1st hybrid Smartphone/All-In-One PC has not reached it’s $32 million target. The project has only 16hours left to raise $19,718,854 million to reach the  $32Million.


So for the project to succeed it need to raise about $1.24M every hour for the next 16 hours to meet the target otherwise Ubuntu Edge will have to give back the $1.28 million it has mange to raise so far.
